Following the unveiling of the Salming 1148 at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, NHL Staff Writer Mike Zeisberger shared the story behind Börje’s final watch project.
Opening his feature with the words,
“The late Börje Salming would have been proud. His four children certainly are.”
Zeisberger traces the Salming 1148 from Börje’s first ideas and sketches to its completion by his children, while reflecting on the NHL career that inspired its 1,148-piece edition.
