A Successful Toronto Launch for Salming Watches
On August 6, we introduced the Salming 1148 in Canada with a special evening at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.
Having the launch here was significant to us. Toronto played a defining role in Börje’s life and career, and it remains an important place for the Salming family. Teresa, Bianca, Anders and Rasmus were all there to present the watch their father first began developing in 2018.
The evening brought together family, former teammates, friends and members of the hockey community, including people who knew Börje throughout his years in Toronto.
We were proud to launch the Salming 1148 in Canada together with the NHL Alumni Association and its President and Executive Director, Glenn Healy. Our partnership is an important part of this project, with a contribution from every Salming 1148 sold supporting the association’s ongoing initiatives, including ALS awareness and research.
One of the highlights of the evening was when Glenn Healy donated Salming 1148 No. 1 to the Hockey Hall of Fame, where it was placed alongside the Börje Salming Courage Award and will remain as part of the display.
A project started by Börje. Completed by his family. Now part of the place that preserves his place in hockey history.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us in Toronto and played a part in a night that meant a great deal to the Salming family and our team.
Below, are some photographs from the evening.
